The Sun Valley Arts & Crafts Festival is an outdoor, juried fine arts and crafts show located in historic Ketchum, Idaho. We value and honor art work made by the individual artists. No commercial agents are allowed. This popular community event also includes a kids’ activity area, food vendors, and a picnic area with music.
Art on the Rockies is growing into a premiere, destination arts festival, known for the quality of art and first class treatment of both its artists and its guests. Now we bring that into the village of Lionshead in Vail. With Vail’s Rocky Mountain backdrop and glorious summer weather to compliment the event, the festival attracts more than 8000 seasonal and year round residents and tourists. The festival showcases 90 fine artists from around the country.
The Treasure Valley (the Boise Metro Area) is currently ranked as one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation. In 2019 just over 700,000 residents, or about 40% of Idaho’s population, were living in the Treasure Valley. This area of Idaho, nestled along the foothills of the Boise Mountains, encompasses the cities of Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Star, Caldwell, Kuna and Middleton.
The City of Meridian is leading the charge on the area’s growth, while maintaining its reputation as a beautiful, friendly and family-oriented community. Meridian was incorporated in 1903, and a creamery quickly established it as a dairy center for the state. A large fruit industry and the Interurban electric railway spurred early growth. More recently, Meridian has been one of the fastest growing cities in Idaho. The population tripled between 1990 and 2000, and more than doubled between 2000 and 2010. The City’s convenient access within the Treasure Valley, combined with its small-town friendliness and style of living, makes it a community that’s “Built for Business, Designed for Living.”
In addition, residents and visitors can hike, bike or run the 25-mile long Boise River Greenbelt, which offers riverside views and shade. The 200-plus mile Ridge to Rivers Trail System also winds its way through the nearby hills and mountains with scenic views of the Treasure Valley everywhere along the way.
